The 60-Hour Screenwriting Contest is an exciting, fast-paced challenge designed to bring out the best in storytellers and screenwriters. We are searching for scripts that can be developed into captivating short films or mini-series, showcasing your unique storytelling abilities and creativity.
What to Submit?
We are looking for a 3000-word script in English. Participants can choose between two categories: Short Movie Script or Mini-Series. Your script should not only stand out but also captivate, with the potential to be pitched to top production houses.
Theme: When and How Will It Be Shared with Participants?
The themes for the 60-Hour Screenwriting Contest will be shared with all registered participants just before the challenge begins on 25th Oct, 8 PM. You will receive an email with a list of multiple themes at the start of the contest. Participants can choose any one theme from the provided list to base their script on. This approach ensures a level playing field while giving you the flexibility to select a theme that resonates with your creativity and storytelling style.
How to Submit?
- Theme: When the contest begins, you'll receive an email with the theme and a link to the writing tool.
- Log In: Click on the link and log in to VED using your email ID.
- Select Your Project Type: On your dashboard, choose the option to create a script.
- Start Writing: Begin crafting your masterpiece. You'll have 60 hours to complete your script.
- Submit Your Script: Once you're finished, use the 'Share' button on the canvas to submit your script.
🌟Eligibility Criteria
Open to all writers. Anyone above the age of 18 years is eligible to participate.
📝Submission Guidelines
- Originality: Submissions must be original, previously unpublished works of fiction written on the VED platform.
- Language & Word Limit: Entries must be written in English and should consist of at least 3000 words.
- Genre: The genre will be disclosed just before the contest begins.
- Submission Process: All stories must be submitted exclusively through VED using the ‘Share’ button on or before the specified deadline.
- Shortlisting: Authors of shortlisted submissions will be notified via email and/or phone.
- Selection: The winning story will be selected for production. And top 5 stories may be selected for additional rewards and opportunities, if deemed relevant. Due credit will be given to the writer for their work.
